State of the Pregnancy

I really wish I had been writing more here just to remember exactly what has happened with this pregnancy.  So many things I think I will remember vividly forever, disappear so fast!  I guess that is all part of life.  Last night while going to sleep I had this FEAR come up that Bear would forget or not take pictures when she is born.  Because he would be so excited and get caught up in it, which is totally understandable, but then the memory would be gone and that would make me sad.  Or we would end up with all blurry pictures because he shakes so much!  I was wracking my brain to think of who could take them - the nurse, the doctor, family member?  I mean these are some of the crazy stupid things that keep me up at night.  But admittedly they are pretty funny.  Or they will be one day.

So this post is just a general recap of things so that I can remember later, so it might be pretty boring.  Not that any of my posts are riveting! And admittedly, it is going to include some complaining.  Sorry.  But it's all part of it, right? I couldn't be more HAPPY to be pregnant.  I love it.  But lately, there are certainly some uncomfortable developments that I am sure will only get more glorious in the next 12 weeks.  And every single one will be worth it.

First, more bump pictures to get us all the way up to date on those.

24 weeks

26 weeks

26 weeks from front

28 weeks
Within 4 weeks, the belly is now well passed the boobs.  LOL!

So what's been going on?
  1. First, and very thankfully, so many people have been SO GENEROUS.  Baby Girl already has so many nice things handed down or bought just for her.  Can't be thankful enough for wonderful friends and family.  And of course I am guilty for buying clothes when I shouldn't.  But OMG they are too adorable, and for the most part so much on SALE, that I just can't pass them up.
  2. Sleep - Sometimes good, but most of the times never sleep like I used to.  Never really get in a deep sleep and most of the time this is OK.  I don't feel really tired unless I get absolutely NO sleep.  In early December, started with some hip pain on my right side only that would wake me up early.  That has continued and is on both sides now.  I am sure it will continue to get worse the heavier I get and the bigger she gets.  Oh well, gets me out of bed!
  3. Also in early December, and progressing to now, my hands fall asleep.  This is pregnancy induce carpel tunnel I am told due to swelling.  So at night I wear a brace on my right hand, but even still it falls asleep.  And I don't mean in away that is comes back to life by wiggling it around.  I mean it is prolonged numbness.  And most of the time during the day, my right finger tips remain numb.  It's a strange feeling!  A little annoying, but manageable.
  4. December 23 - Bear felt first big kick!  But I wish he could feel them more.  She usually stops once I get him to come over.  And I think he really wants to feel it too.  I am sure he still has plenty of chances.  I LOVE the baby kicks.  I love when I know she is there and doing whatever it is she does in there.  Only lately has she really started dancing on my bladder - which is a really new strange sensation.
  5. December 24 - pretty sure she woke me up with hiccups.  But I haven't felt them since.  So either she was in the perfect position for me to feel her, or that wasn't really the hiccups, haha!  She had those and was moving all around about 5am. Even now she is usually starting to be active about 4:30 to 5am.  I joke that she is Carla and that's just the time she gets up for the day.  Pretty sure getting up so early on Christmas Eve, plus no good nap that day, going to bed realllyy late, all contributed to my Christmas Morning Meltdown.  Or that's what makes me feel better about it anyway.
  6. January 4, failed 1 hour glucose test at 170.  They wanted less than 140.  Gah.  January 10, failed the 3 hours glucose test so yep, have gestational diabetes. (1 hour 201/190, 2 hours 174/165, 3 hours 135/145). I was upset at first and needed a day for some tears and to be mad that I couldn't eat what I want.  Bear does not like tears.  Which fine, but let someone tell HIM he has diabetes and can't eat what he wants and lets see how he reacts.  But I just needed ONE day and by the next I was fine and ready to deal with it.  I watch my diet according to an eating plan that limits the amount of carbs you eat at one time and check my sugar 4 times a day.  The finger pricks are not terrible, and so far with diet (after testing a few foods of course - hamburger, chips and salsa, fried okra) my levels seem to be looking good.  I just hope it stays that way.  Some days I am resentful of what I see Bear eat, but for the most part it is OK.  I probably should be on a diet like this in general anyway.  The only thing is that I crave sweets.  I would love a big piece of chocolate cake with chocolate icing right now.  OR a sugar cookie.  Or a cinnamon roll.  You get the picture.  And I CAN have that stuff if I plan and only in a small amount.  Meals and snacks just take a little more planning than before.  And I just pray that things stay looking good and don't get worse in the next 12 weeks.  If things are looking OK the doc will let me check sugars less often.
  7. In the last week, I have started to have to go pee a LOT more often.  And I will feel like I HAVE to go and then barely anything will come out.  It's pretty funny to me actually.  Not too annoying, YET.  Sorry if that is TMI.
  8. Yesterday, January 21.  For some time if I lay on my left side my rib cage at the bottom, sorta slightly to the left from the middle, it would hurt.  I thought it was just my weight and not sure what it is actually.  Well this weekend my allergies seem to really be bothering me so I have been sneezing.  Yesterday morning I sneezed and thought I had cracked my chest open.  I hurt SO BAD.  Then this morning when I sneezed it hurt SO BAD again.  I have been trying to be careful, but it feels like I have some sort of fracture there.  That is how bad it hurts.  It feels bruised if I touch it.  Not sure at all what it actually is.  But whatever it is - it does not feel good.
And that is the current state of this pregnancy starting the 3rd trimester.

It's a ....

GIRL!  Check out the new tab I added with ultrasound pics if you are interested.  We found out last Wednesday and we are of course very excited!

I can't believe this is really going to happen - it's really REAL!  Now that I finally believe it, after 20 weeks of convincing, my mind is in super duper overdrive.  I feel anxious like there is SOooooooooooo much to DOOoooo and I want to do it all right this very second.  I can barely think of anything else.  It's like I am on a really good caffeine buzz, but I haven't had but one cup of coffee and that was at 8 this morning.

Playing Catch Up

Well, my plans to put up a bunch of rewind posts a few weekends ago were foiled.  My sweet Mema passed away and we had to rush back home.  It was expected, but unexpected.  I know she is peaceful now.  She hated the nursing home so at least she doesn't have to be there anymore.  She hadn't been herself for quite some time and that is what I think was the most sad to realize.  My cousin put together a very nice picture slide show and wrote a wonderful obituary that captured a lot of things I had forgotten about.  Of everything my Mema couldn't remember, she did remember I was going to have a baby.  Which makes me very happy.  And I know she is in heaven watching out for our baby and us from above.  Old age can be both good and bad.  I hope that if I am lucky enough to live a long life, that I will age gracefully and remember to always laugh, even when it doesn't seem funny.  Love her and will miss her dearly.

After all of that settled, work has been super busy with one crazy thing after the next.  This past week I was in Phoenix at a project meeting, but spent most of the time in my hotel room working on a last minute proposal.  Traveling for work can be fun, but trying to work on a proposal and being pregnant PLUS traveling.... maybe not so much.  I was exhausted.  And so swollen everyday!  Then on the way home we were going Phoenix to Dallas to College Station.  Well when we go to Dallas our flight was cancelled!  And the next one fully booked and the next not until 8am Saturday.  Note to self, do not fly American out of College Station.  Most especially on a Friday of game day weekend.  We ended up renting a car and driving home with two researchers, one of which had his 2 year old daughter with him.  It was a very interesting experience, but I was sooooo glad to be home!

I could not be more ready for Thanksgiving and a short work week!  And we get to find out the gender this week, YAY!  All I have standing between me and that excitement is 3 proposals due Tuesday.

Here is picture, 19 weeks today.  I have discovered I am absolutely no good at taking pictures of myself and also the lighting is not so good in the guest bath.  (Which by the way,  I did finally finish redoing that bathroom minus hardware, but probably hard to tell the color by this bad picture).

And also, I am going to be huge by the end of this.

Hello Blog.

It has been a while. In fact I never finished my Summer Vacation days 3-9. I will post them next... it has been all saved and everything!

Well I figure this blog is the best way to communicate with RF friends overall. At least when I post something you will not have already heard the story at work ;-) And this will be a place you can leave me messages and tell me things or yell at me for leaving or just whatever you feel like I suppose. Please share this blog with whoever you think wants to see it. AND become a follower! Purrrty please!! And leave comments!! No lurking.

I really do feel like I am just on vacation. And I don't think it will all be real for a while, this change that I have made. I really appreciate and love everyone I have worked with at the RF and hope that you know that. I am not good at saying or showing that stuff though so I hope you were not offended on my last day. Just ask my husband how well I do this! NOT well at all!

Next up, Bahama's pictures. Because I really wish it was warm again! Tired of the cold!!

OOPS Bahama's pics are in September 2009.. that is how long ago I saved them and then didn't publish!

I have a love/hate relationship with summer

Well this might get long... but I love and hate the summer time all at the same time.

In the HATE category we have:
  1. I hate that I have to work while my husband does things like this:

  2. I hate having to wear a swim suit.

  3. I hate that I don't tan easily.

  4. I hate that there are a million things I want to do but it is all so expensive.

  5. I hate that gas prices go up.

  6. I hate that I can't concentrate at work because I just don't want to be there!!! Anywhere but there!!

  7. I hate it when it is THIS hot in June and knowing how bad August will be.

  8. I hate watering my yard and the A/C bill.

  9. I hate shaving my legs all the time so I can wear shorts.

And in the love category:

  1. I love that I get to go on vacation.

  2. I love the taste of a cold beer on a hot day.

  3. I love when it finally rains.

  4. I love the beach if I get to go.

  5. I love veggies from the garden.

  6. I love summery dresses and wearing capris to work.

  7. I love summery shoes and flip flops.

  8. I love that it is so hot it is usually always acceptable to wear my hair in a pony tail.

  9. I love floating the river.

  10. I love eating fried squash.

  11. I love eating my grandpas dill pickles.

  12. I love our yard when the grass is just cut (that is if we can manage to keep it from dying).

hard core vacation preparation

My feet hurt! I have blisters! It's hot! and I just don't know if I am hard core enough for this working out stuff. I once was very good at it way back in high school. But not so much anymore. My feet really hurt, I need new shoes apparently, and no pedicure is going to even look good if I have blisters all over.

So how do I keep working out!? I have made it 4 weeks working out and eating better. Of course it was not every one of those days but it has been at least 3 to 4 times per week. And they say you need to do something for 30 days for it to be a habit right? Sadly I have only lost 5 lbs or so (I think). I guess I should be happy with that... and that was even weighing at night and not first thing in the morning.

And because I am stupid I just called today to make a hair appointment and now I can't get in until June 30. UGH! and I didn't have a choice on the time so I have to take time off work now. So I guess it should look nice though.

Plus I started tanning. But the girl gave me an extra minute or something and now I kinda burned. I am in one of the higher level stand up beds so that one minute was enough to do it. Thanks girl, I am know I am white! But the white will only be RED unless I take it easy and gradually go for longer. GEEZ. So I had to skip today. Ah well, forgot my tanning lotion anyhow.

And I think this weekend calls for shopping. I still need a dress. I found a few on overstock.com but I would really rather be able to try it on and of course the cheaper the better! If you know any good online places other than that, let me know, just in case I don't find something.

I am more hard core about getting ready to GO on a vacation than anything else. I think I am spending more money just to get ready than I may spend the whole time we are away! I hope it is all worth it in the end. I just pray there is at least ONE picture that I don't want to (burn or delete I guess in this case). It is all things I neglect to do on a regular basis anyway so I am going to justify it that way.

My Boyfriend George

I just watched the tribute to George Strait. And it really doesn't matter what age I get to, or what new song he comes out with, I love him. And I love his songs. I am more than happy to let him stand there and sing them without anything else.

Maybe it is being from a small town? Because who from a small town doesn't love him?

It brings back so many good memories that start early. Singing on the way to the beach in the summer, singing on the bus in elementary on field trips, our first boy/girl dance at R&K Cafe (yep), on the way to and from volleyball and softball games (right along with Baby's Got Back), in the car with girlfriends riding around town, dancing at the Ballroom in G-town, going out to Harry's in college, partying in Dime Box, our wedding, road trips, floating trips on the Frio.

And I saw him in concert in Austin once. He was tiny but I could still see that cute bootie. Just tons of good times. I die inside each time my coworker that I car pool with changes the song when GEORGE is playing. The other day he did it 3 times!! I understand country music is not everyone's cup of tea but I don't care. George is the King. Now I also love Texas Country and when I hear it I want to grab a beer and find the nearest dancehall. But George makes me want to scoot a boot and sing out loud at the top of my lungs.

And he is one of those guys that just keeps getting better. If you know what I mean. Can I get a hell yeah?

lazy L A Z Y

GAH the motivation today is the lowest of all time I think. Well maybe not of ALL time but pretty darn close after a 3 day weekend.

Saturday I went to help Dee paint her bedroom. Had fun with her and her friends Rachel and Sima. And I was home by noon on Sunday. I did not do much the rest of the day and the hubs took me out to TGI Friday's for a $5 salad that evening. Nice deal, they also have $5 sandwiches, not sure when it ends. Yesterday we cleaned the house and that is about all. I was happy I didn't sleep too late and that we got alot done PLUS relaxed some. I tried to watch the movie Ru.nnin.g with Sc.issor.s. I am either really stupid or this movie really does suck. I turned it off - way too wierd for me.

So nothing too exciting going on. I just want to do anything but actually work today. All I can concentrate on is our upcoming vacation. I hope I can make it that long!!!!! 41 days and counting.

Random things I am thinking about/doing rather than doing what I need to be doing:

  • CRUISE CRUISE CRUISE
  • Online review of cruise ship: not stellar, kinda scared now
  • Online review of previous ship we have been on: food great, now more scared of our new ship
  • STOP STOP STOP freaking out about reviews, mostly cranky old people write them.
  • You are not cranky and old. You will have fun.
  • Bear will eat anything so no need to worry about food quality. HEHE
  • You forgot to take the wine that Dee gave you out of your car.
  • It has been in the heat for 2 days.
  • Hope the cork stays in.
  • I will probably drink it no matter what. (as long as it is not on the floor board of my car)
  • I really want a piece of chocolate. (K gave me toffee, YAY!)
  • Matt invited us to the lake.
  • DO NOT WANT TO WEAR SWIM SUITE.
  • DO want to ride on new boat.
  • Need to run, run, run, run.
  • Did walk 3 miles last night with hubs. That was nice.
  • Need a tan. BAD.
  • Have lots of moles and scared of tanning. Will get cancer.
  • Too bad, must have tan.
  • HUNGRY for something really good and yummy.
  • Don't want to feel guilty for eating something yummy.
  • Want Ninfa's tonight.
  • Want margarita with salt*.
  • Need to run, run, run, run.
  • Already have leftovers and hubby has softball practice.
  • Hubby's teacher softball team is going to suck. Might be entertaining to watch for once.
  • OOMMMGGGG it is only 4:06. Torture.
  • Will have wine instead of margarita.
  • With my leftover turkey natchos.
  • Turkey tacos were great last night!!
  • Do not buy all white ground turkey, the mixed was way better.
  • I did accomplish at least 4 make that 5 things at work today despite my lazyness. I feel proud.
  • Need a haircut and highlight.
  • My eye is still twitching. When will it stop?

Review of fast food salads in light of diet for CRUISE CRUISE CRUISE:

  • I had Schlotszky's today and my half a BLT was burnt. And my salad was a little old. Don't really recommend the small garden salad because of that. HOWEVER, after I ordered I saw that their larger salads are only $3.99. And they looked fresh. Next time I guess.
  • I also don't recommend the Whatabu.rger salads. Crispy chicken is yummy, old lettuce not so much.
  • Yes, I know, Whataburger is not known for salads and crispy chicken is not so healthy. But I am trying. I haven't had a hamburger in 3 weeks. And I only broke down and had fries ONE time and that was at McD's and they were small. I feel like I have turned over a new leaf (hehe).
  • I DO however recommend the Subway $5 salad with black forest ham. Yummy and filling.
  • I DO also recommend the Chick-fil-a salads. They are 6.99 but have broccoli and fresh tomatoes on it. Of course I go with the crispy chicken on it instead of grilled. I have to have SOME satisfaction. Plus, as K says, Chick-fil-a is practically all health food. (YES IT SO IS).
  • TGI Fridays pecan crusted chicken salad. VERY yummy. But from what I find online, packed with lots and lots of calories. No wonder if was so good. I find anywhere from 750 to 1,360 in calories. I only ate half so I won't feel too bad, but probably could pick something much better.
  • Cheddar's salad - always always always good.
  • Only 4:35. For the love.
  • Forgot that the Wings N More grilled chicken ceasar is wonderful. LOVE. And probably was high in calories too, but come on. All that green stuff. Has to be at least a little bit good for you.
  • 4:41. Sigh.

** Can you believe that the last 2 margaritas I have had, I cut the SALT? I know. I am a crazy wild freak.

Una mas cerveza por favor senorita!

Sernorrrrieeeeeetttaaa! That is the song playing right now. (country, so not everyone may be familiar... but eh) And how appropriate since I spent a major part of my evening looking for an all inclusive beach vacation. Hee, we can all dream can't we?*

The hubby is out of the house and it's just me for the weekend. Wow, I am so excited with all the things I want to do. And I was feeling sleepy (I guess after this long work week!) and I even made coffee so I could stay up and do all the things I have wished I was at home doing all week. So with that said, this is a caffeine induced post, so fair warning right now to watch out. Keep reading at your own risk. But I need to do a lot of updating so here goes... I think I might break it up into a few posts now that I think about it....

First, I opened this blog to the public so you no longer have to be invited to read it. What can I say, I was shy at first. But what the hey, whoever wants to read can read. What I talk about is really not too informative or interesting for the most part. But it is fun for me and that is what it is all about. So if you know someone that knows me and might be interested, feel free to invite them to read. I would like to get more comments, but then wouldn't we all I guess.

Second, I am having a garage sale next weekend with nonsoccermom. And I finally went through some clothes earlier this evening. The sad part is that some are so ragged that they will not even make it to the garage sale. I have a a throw away pile and then "I suppose it is good enough for goodwill" pile. So sad! I am scared I will not actually have enough for the sale, but nonsoccermom assures me she has alot. I hope so!

Third, I have some pictures to post. I was going through all previous posts before I opened this up to everyone and realized I never posted pictures from our Christmas break beach trip. So I will do that in a separate post.

* Bear is going to teach summer school. I KNOW what you are thinking! WHY WOULD HE DO THAT. HE HATES IT and needs a break. That is what I said too until he said we can use that $$ for vacation!! happy, happy dance :-) However, by the time we go I must be more photogenic (ie less fat). But I say that all the time... I just hope this is the time I really do something about it. -sigh-

I know I am random and totally hopped up on caffeine so this is more than a little spastic.

Vacation recap

Just kidding....  because, well keep reading.

April 20 was my 7th wedding anniversary and my lovely husband bought me an iMac.  YAY!   But the reason there are no pictures from vacation is that they are not on this computer yet.  It will probably take me a while to transfer them into the lovely iPhoto and then perhaps I could even make a really cool movie or slide show.  However I have no idea how the mac movies play with PCs.  So I will have to learn!

I am all about the learning because I am a big dork in that way.  I will sit here on my big butt for hours just figuring out how each program works.  It is entertaining, I don't know why.  It just is.

I am a little disappointed because I thought I might be able to make cool blogger templates, but sadly, to publish with iWeb you have to have your own domain name and such.  I might have to get us a bridgetandbear domain.  But that just seems silly when I can have it here for free!  We'll see... at the moment I am also completely overwhelmed by the whole deal.  To point that I am not sure I will EVER use all the features this thing has.

So in the meantime... here I am in front of my new Mac.  This is done in Bear style, Dee.  So WARNING!  Funny pictures!  Swallow your coke and get off the phone ;-)

Sadly the lighting in here is terrible (because I really look much more beautiful than this at 9 in the evening, I swear!)

Happy New Year!

I am ready to see what you have in store 2009! I hope you bring good things ;-)
I really hope 2009 is great year for us and for everyone else.

Happy 2009!!!!!!!

Christmas Vacation

Is finally, officially and excitedly here. WOO!

Dear baby Jesus, thank you ever so much for the 12.5 days of straight vacation. Amen. Let's party!!

Seriously though, I am so thankful I work somewhere that get's these days off automatically, I hope to go into 2009 a little more relaxed and that many days off certainly can't hurt that goal!

So the husband is out playing golf (again since he played in 36 degree weather yesterday!) but I guess that is a good thing. He has spent so much money on golf stuff lately that his butt better be out there. And I told him he better start kicking some butt ON the golf course soon or I would be really disappointed. We'll see.

I am just at the house and I could be cleaning it. But who wants to really do that!? Not me. And I have had a soar throat so I feel that is an excellent reason for why I won't have done it when he gets back home. The only thing is that I kinda want to go to Ninfa's later... gonna have to come up with some reason I had a speedy recovery for that. Maybe a nap is in order? And when I wake up I feel SooooOOOOOOooooo much better? Hmm, maybe. I also have a hair cut appointment at 6 so I have to make that first. I probably should cancel and not spend the money, BUT it would look much better for Christmas if I get it cut. And let's face it, I need all the help I can get in the looks department these days. I am really looking older and it is sad.

We had Christmas at my Mema's Saturday. And then Christmas at MILs on Sunday. They went well, but it is just hard to believe they are over. Only one more official Christmas left. Then we go on our little beach trip with my parents for their Christmas. I think they are a little sad I am not making time to be with them specifically on Christmas Eve or Day. Well they are invited for Christmas Eve every year at Bear's family so that is there prerogative. And then we are going to church with them Christmas Day. But somehow I think they still felt like they wanted us to come over one of those times. But mom held it back since she gets upset with Mema thinking she has to have stuff on "The Day" for holidays and she thinks it is silly. But I can tell it kinda still bothers her. I can see how it would but that the same time we are spending 4 days with them on a trip.

Anywho... this post is really just to take up some of my time. And make another, probably the last, post for December and 2008.

Merry Christmas to the whole 5 of you who read this!!! And just so you know, this is my very OFFICIAL Merry Christmas to each of you because I decided not to send out Christmas cards this year. I decided I didn't feel like stressing about them, so well, I just didn't!

May 24, 2008

Breaker! breaker! you still there?

Yep, I am still here. But May has been flying by and not much has really been going on that has caused me to have a good reason for blogging. I guess that is good - nothing has happened that I needed to seriously vent about - but also bad - is my life really that boring that I have nothing to tell anyway. Well yes to both!

Let's see... since my last post, we had a college graduation and party for Bear's cousin, Mother's Day and my Dad's Bday all in one weekend. I actually have 2 stories on that weekend.

Interesting and funny story #1... We stayed in DB at my MILs after the graduation party for A and when I got up to go to the bathroom about 1:30 AM, I discovered we were locked into the bedroom. How does that happen you say? Well... here is how. She has those type of door knobs that you pull down to open the door. A few other times we stayed I noticed it was getting increasingly harder to get it open and would probably eventually break. Well when we went to bed that night I noticed it was definitely broken, no more handle at all, but if you pushed the mechanism still left in the knob hole, the open/close part still worked. I decided not to close it all the way, just in case, but MIL has 2 baby kittens in the house roaming around and they kept coming in the room. So I DOUBLE checked the mechanism AGAIN and it worked so I decided to go ahead and close the door. Well... fastforward to 1:30 and it would NOT open AT ALL. And I have to PEE! So I have to wake up Bear, we all know that did not go well. He is mad and proceeds to break even more of the mechanism to where I seriously doubt we are ever getting out. Well I grew up in a trailer house and I have to PEE and so I start eyeing the window. He is telling me I can't jump out the window and yada yada and I just put on my shoes and say watch me! I have done it a million times crawling in and out of the trailer house windows when I locked myself out. So jump, go around to the unlocked back door, let myself in and I finally PEE and then get the tool box. We keep trying and finally I get the door open. Yes, me, the GIRL! But at any rate... we were not stuck in there forever and also we did not have to tear down the down the door. And we slept peacefully until about 11:30 AM ;-)

Interesting Story #2... So on Saturday I go to my Mema's to hang out and do somethings my mom wanted me to do a their "Mother's Day gifts". Well I show up and mom is all "Where is your husband". She NEVER said he needed to come and I don't force him to because it is just easier and more fun for me if he doesn't mope around being bored. PLUS, it was all girls so I had a momentary freak out that why would he come hang out with a bunch of GIRLS (well and one 2 yr old boy). But the reason she wanted him to be there is because she wanted to make ribs for my dad's bday (which was on Sunday). But not just charcoal grilled ribs, the real deal BBQ with wood fire and sop and all that. You know the MANLY kind of BBQ. So my sister and I get the bright idea to try this ourselves. No we are not men, but we figured if they could do it while consuming a few cases of beer, we could do it sober. We made (uhm, my sister made) a fire and were pretty proud of ourselves. I made a sop for the meat. We got coals and put them in the BBQ and put the meat on. Well nothing was really happening and then my Dad shows up. Then Bear shows up. Of course, we had done it ALL WRONG but whatev. Basically, we just didn't build a big enough fire so we did not get enough coals. But we didn't do TOO bad considering we had never done it before and probably way better than mom trying it herself (sorry, ma, love ya!). So they built a big manly fire and we had some ribs about 8:30 at night. HEHEE!

Last weekend we went to a crawfish boil. That was so FUN and I wish I had some more crawfish right this very minute. So yummy.

And this weekend we have done nothing. It is lovely, really it is... but I am starting to get kinda bored and I have Sunday and Monday to get through. Tomorrow I will have to do some cleaning. Things are just kinda messy. And I need to straighten it all up because my parents are coming on Monday to make some grub after moving my sister. They are about to take her to Montana for an internship so it will be good to hang out with them before they leave this Friday. It is going to be weird for her to be gone for 3 months! But that is our only Memorial Day plan. Bear has to work. I do NOT feel bad for him considering he will not be at his "real job" for the next 2.5 months. Although he will be working since he has the meanest wife on earth.

So still here... just not alot to say right now. 10-4, I'm out.

Krista, I just googled "Breaker! Breaker!" and it is a 1977 film starring Chuck Norris. HEEHEEE!!!
